With the event completely sold out, 16 teams of 5-8 players gathered at the Kerr Hall Upper Gym, each with unique team-sponsored jerseys. We would like to thank Whistle, Contiki, Toronto FC, Infuse Cafe, Ted Rogers Management Conference, Locust, FCAD, and Paper Planes for sponsoring teams and providing jerseys.
The Right To Play Charity Soccer Tournament was open for anyone to participate, regardless of their background. From Radio and Television Arts students on Team Infuse to York University alumni on Team Contiki, the tournament featured a wide variety of players.
In addition to sponsoring two teams, TFC generously donated two raffle prizes: a signed Jozy Altidore plaque as well as a TFC jersey signed by every member on the soccer club.
Many of the attendees were asking for details on the next sporting event - which we have discussed might be soccer or basketball. While we think about next year's charity sports tournament, we now shift our focus to our biggest event of the year: the Ted Rogers Sports Conference! See you on March 5th! #Playmakers
